Acceptable Use

This document has been drafted and is being finalised with counsel. The settled version will be published on this page before general availability, and account holders will be notified of the effective date. Until then, nothing on this page is a contractual term.
What it will cover
The Acceptable Use policy will restate, in plain language, what may not be done with the platform: no unlawful use; no presenting output as legal or human professional advice; no misrepresenting output as verified beyond what the Methodology page states; no scraping, bulk extraction or redistribution of the corpus; and no security testing outside the vulnerability disclosure process.
Our practice today
- Qanun output is research assistance for qualified professionals, not legal advice, and must not be presented as such.
- Scraping or redistributing the corpus or platform output as a dataset or competing service is not permitted.
- Security testing is welcome only through the vulnerability disclosure process (see the Vulnerability Disclosure page).
